The Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Coordinator of the
Partnership with the European Union and H.E. the Ambassador Head of the E.U. Delegation
in Cameroon, presided on Tuesday, 4 October 2022, at MINEPAT, over the dual ceremony
for the signing of two financing agreements including: "CAMEROON: Green, inclusive
and sustainable cities" and "CAMEROON: Green and Resilient northern regions".
Through this support, the European Union and its Member States (Team Europe) and
Cameroon intend, on the one hand, to achieve the long-term strengthening of urban
governance and the implementation of concrete and sustainable urban projects and at
developing the urban centres of the northern regions.
This support, which is estimated at CFA francs 29 billion, falls within the framework of the
"green and digital transition" that will enable the population to be more resilient in the face of
the climate, security and food crises.
