A word from the EDF National Authorizing Officer in Cameroon
Our goal on this site is to make available to you any latest information on Cooperation between Cameroon and the European Union, as well as information on projects and programmes.
Cameroon-European Union Cooperation is governed by the ACP-EC partnership agreement signed in Cotonou on June 23, 2000 (in place of the Lome successive agreements) and amended in Luxembourg on June 25, 2005. |
The EDF National Authorizing Officer, whose role is defined within the framework of this partnership, represents the Cameroonian Government in all the activities funded with the Fund resources managed by the European Commission and the European Investment Bank.
Since 2006, a Unique EDF National Authorizing Officer Support Unit (CAON-FED) has been put in place to assist the EDF National Authorizing Officer in all their missions for an efficient use of European aid in Cameroon. Headed by a Unit Head/National Coordinator of Cameroon – European Union Cooperation, CAON-FED acts as an intermediary role between the Cameroonian Government and the European Commission. It also provides advice to technical ministries for a better understanding of the EDF procedures.
The informative content of this site will enable you to better grasp the tools and measures aiming at improving the efficiency of the European Union aid to Cameroon.
Visiting this site will also help you access, directly or through links, texts, treaties, agreements, various financing instruments, actors, projects and programmes of ACP-EU Cooperation as a whole and of Cameroon-EU.
Finally, we design and make available an interactive website and full of images, thus making cooperation more visible.
We hope this website will meet all your expectations. In any case, we will be glad to receive your comments and suggestions to the following address: caonfed@caonfed.org. |
